Understanding your business
Understanding your business and goals is the key to designing your website to be one of the best tools in achieving those goals. If your web designer doesn’t understand your business, they cannot possibly build a site to help you meet them.
Navigational Design / Web Page Selection
With an understanding of your business, we can then begin to make decisions on the web pages to include in your site design. This is an iterative process with the goal of including the most important pages that fit within your budget. We will guide you in the selection of the best pages to include.
Graphic Design
For most of our clients, the graphic design is the most enjoyable part of the web design process. This is where the dream of their new website begins to take shape for them. We use an iterative process, which is actually done in tandem with the navigational design, to create a design that meets and often exceeds the expectations of our clients.
We offer several approaches to the graphic design, depending upon the budget of the client. It ranges from a basic layout, to using a purchased template, to finally a full design from scratch with a professional graphic designer.
Each graphical approach uses the same multi-step process:
- We review existing sites with the client to find out what styles they like the best. This also may help us to determine color layouts if the business doesn’t have an existing color design.
- Lunafire creates 2-4 rough layouts for review by the client.
- Client gives feedback on the rough layouts to guide us in the next steps.
- Lunafire creates a beta graphical layout for approval by the client.
- Client reviews beta graphical layout and gives Lunafire feedback.
- Lunafire creates a final graphical layout for client review.
- Client reviews final layout and gives Lunafire approval with minor adjustments, if required.
